第一次大战时，日军视德国战俘为上宾，但二十年后，一切完全改写。第二次大战时期，日军凶残地对待中国、新加坡、缅甸和马来西亚战俘，日军被冠以“冷血残暴”的罪名。除此以外，日本人更自视为优越的民族，对“荣誉”和“屈辱”有不同的见解，这驱使日军筹组“神风队”，也令大批平民自杀死亡，这两个词语，更令数以万计士兵宁死不降。
本节目采访了前日军士、“神风队”机师、盟军战俘和受害者，更以最新悼念得来的阍片和记录胶卷，揭露日军在二次大战期间的暴行。当中更讨论到匪夷所思的事件，包括食人和酷刑，还有“神风队”的出现以及大规模日本平民自杀的幕后真相。
