抗战期间，一个八路军和八个在押的狱犯，在途中与日寇狭路相逢，被奸细诬陷而在押的八路军指导员王金率其他人自动松绑并肩抗击敌人，在突围后的艰难跋涉中，罪犯们均重新认识了自己的价值。
Summary:
During the War of Resistance, an Eight Route Aumy soldier and eight outlaws meet with the Japanese invaders in their way. Wang Jin, an Eight Route Army instructor, who is framed up by the spy leads other outlaws to untie themselves and breast the enemy side by side. After they succeed in defeating the enemy's besiegement, they undergo a long hardship and the outlaws finally com to realizing their importance in new terms.
