本剧围绕北平耍刀艺人郑承龙一家展开，他和三个徒弟郑德、郑羽、郑飞、女儿郑莺先后以不同的方式卷入战场，与日军奋勇作战；同时本剧以开阔的视角，展现了自1933年长城抗战到1945年抗战胜利，发生在平津、华北、以至中国的数个事件，以丰富的声部唱出一曲中国军民上上下下最终团结御侮的慷慨悲歌。

Plotline:

This serial centers on the family of the Peking ltinerant broadsword performer Zheng Chenglong.
